Holeopen Bay East is the eastern counterpart to Holeopen Bay West, sitting on the opposite side of the Old Head of Kinsale peninsula in County Cork, Ireland, just below the cliffs of Old Head Golf Links. Like its western neighbor, it takes its name from a subterranean passage running through the isthmus north of the headland, and it offers boaters a sheltered spot to wait out a tide, take a lunch break, or even anchor overnight in calm conditions.
